Humanity Over Luxury: The Songs That Change Lives

What if we stopped waiting for the world’s wealthiest 1% to fix what’s broken—and instead proved what ordinary people can do with just one single dollar? My new charity run, active until December 31st, is built on a simple promise: I will donate at least 50% of every single sold on this website plus streaming to people who need help the most. If the richest won’t lead by example, then we—everyday people—will.

For every song you purchase for one dollar, fifty cents (or 50% of whatever distribution platforms actually pay out) goes directly to charity. Every cent earned and donated will be publicly documented, with full transparency on January 31st. Nothing hidden. No vague “administrative costs.” You will see exactly what came in, and where it went.

This project isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a public conversation. On my website, fans will be able to post, discuss, and vote on where the donations should go. Whether it’s veteran support, school lunches, affordable childcare, cancer support programs, homeless shelters, women’s safety organizations, mental-health services, disaster relief, or something the community chooses…
you get a voice in where the help goes.

I want this movement to grow far beyond me. I will create a public artist forum where musicians from all over the world can join in, donate what they can, and support their own communities. Imagine if thousands of artists each released just one “charity track” a year. The impact would be enormous.

This project helps two groups of people who are often overlooked:
those struggling in poverty, and the musicians who pour their lives into their art yet often barely survive. I’ve been both. I spent years homeless—sleeping under bridges, in tents, or exchanging music and labor for a roof over my head. No artist should have to go through that. And no child, parent, or elder should be left freezing or hungry after the holidays.

Today, I’m fortunate enough to have a basic home and a simple music studio—because others once helped me when I was at my lowest. Now it’s my turn. This charity run is my way of giving back, and hopefully inspiring others to do the same.

If 10,000 people each buy one song for one dollar, that means nearly $5,000 for charity and $5,000 to help me to help others by keeping me able to continue making powerful music, video and art as a totally self-funded artist, author and activist
That’s the power of small numbers, multiplied by compassion. Of course really the sky's the limit and who knows just how many people could be inspired to help or start a project of their own?

Click the links below to purchase my books or download the songs, on December 31st I will publicly announce on all social media channels how much was earned and where it will be donated to. So please help out this winter and lets be the many that help the many others that are less fortunate than ourselves. After all the gift of giving should be something that perpetually continues all year round. You can leave your comments via my contact info and I will soon be expanding this page for public participation.

Join the discussion, and help shape this movement into something lasting. My dream is to turn this into a year-round project, with a new song every month going directly toward helping others.

Because together, we can prove that humanity doesn’t need billionaires to do what’s right.
We can take care of each other—all with the price of a single song.
